The historic fishing pier at Paradise Beach Park in Tiburon gets an upgrade.
UPDATED: JUNE 1, 2018
Project Description
Built in 1979, Paradise pier was showing its age. Nearly 40 years old, concrete was degrading and wooden rails were starting to get rickety and no longer met current safety codes. Stylish steel railings with a red cedar cap and concrete curbs were installed, along with an updated fish cleaning station and recycling bins. The updated pier welcomes anglers who fish for halibut, sturgeon, perch, herring, and crab, as well as visitors who enjoy strolling out above the water for spectacular Bay views.
This project required authorization from the San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission (BCDC).
